Women’s Counseling

PCPC has three trained counselors available to women to help with their counseling concerns. We recognize the complexity of personal struggles and the power of Christ’s transforming presence. This ministry serves any woman in our church community including PCPC members, regular attendees, and those seeking a church home.

Kari Stainback, Counselor and Supervisor

Kari received her Master’s in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1997 and spent four years in private practice as a counselor to women on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship struggles. With great respect for confidentiality, Kari supervises Shannon, and Laurie’s counseling and also offers time in her schedule to counsel women. To schedule a time to meet with Kari call her at 214-224-2738.

Laurie Butterfield, Counselor

Laurie received a Masters of Arts from Westminster Theological Seminary with an emphasis in biblical counseling. While in Philadelphia, Laurie had the privilege of doing a counseling internship at CCEF (Christian Counseling Educational Foundation), and also worked as a counselor to troubled youth and their families. She has a passion for building relationships and enjoys walking through life and issues with other women. To schedule an appointment, please call Laurie at 214-224-2722.

Shannon Geiger, Women’s Spiritual Formation and Counseling

Shannon received a Masters of Divinity, with a counseling emphasis, from Westminster Theological Seminary. She and her husband, Josh, have four children and are church-planting in the Dallas Latino community. Life experience, studying God’s Word, and counseling training contribute to the couseling she does with individuals and married couples on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, parenting, marriage, abuse, and addictions. To Schedule an appointment, please call Shannon at 214-224-2770.
